Terms & Conditions

Speech Language Pathology Social, P.C. (dba SLP Social)

Effective Date: October 16, 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, services, and communications of Speech Language Pathology Social, P.C., doing business as SLP Social ("SLP Social," "we," "us," or "our"). By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Our Services

SLP Social provides speech-language pathology services with a specialty in social communication for teens and young adults. Our services include:

  • Intake and evaluation sessions
  • PEERS® for Teens group program (14 weekly sessions)
  • PEERS® for Young Adults group program (16 weekly sessions)
  • Individual speech therapy sessions
  • Improv-based communication groups
  • Other services offered from time to time

Service availability, program schedules, and eligibility are determined at our discretion and based on clinical judgment.

2. Eligibility and Consent for Services

Our group programs serve teens ages 13–17 (must be 13 by the group start date) and young adults ages 18–30. Individual services follow similar age ranges. All new clients must complete an intake session before enrolling in any service.

For clients under age 18, services require the informed consent of a parent or legal guardian. By consenting to services, you agree to participate in speech therapy services provided by SLP Social in accordance with state and federal laws. You understand that these services are designed to address specific needs in the area of social communication, and that the scope of these services includes the intake evaluation, subsequent PEERS group therapy sessions, and/or individual speech therapy sessions.

You agree to actively participate in the therapy process. You understand that you have the right to refuse treatment or terminate services at any time by notifying SLP Social in writing. In addition, SLP Social may terminate services by notifying you in writing.

3. Attendance Policy

You agree to make attendance a priority and understand that consistent attendance and compliance with any associated home programs is essential for therapeutic success. A parent or caregiver is required to attend all PEERS group sessions with their teen or young adult.

While we acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances may arise, we ask for 24-hour notice for cancellations. Cancellations made within 24 hours or no-shows may result in a $150 fee billed directly to the client or caregiver.

PEERS is a cohort program that requires clients to start from week one of the program. Once a cohort has begun, we cannot accept new participants into that cohort.

4. Fees and Payment

Session fees

Intake and individual session fees are due immediately after each session. PEERS group session fees are processed on the 1st of the month for sessions completed the previous month. You may also choose to pay the full amount upfront for the entire PEERS program.

Payment methods

We require a valid credit card on file to ensure prompt payment and uninterrupted service. If you wish to pay using a method other than the card on file, please inform us in writing so we can issue an invoice.

Accepted payment methods include cash, check, credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), FSA/HSA, PayPal, or bank transfer. Checks should be made payable to SLP Social and mailed to:

Refunds will be issued in cases of overpayment and processed within 5 business days. Credit card payments will be refunded to the original card; all other refunds will be issued by check.

Failure to pay may result in the postponement or cancellation of treatment sessions.
